Henry ford was a huge contributor
to what we have today when it comes to the automotive industry. We are all
reaching the age of learning to drive and without Henry Ford our transportation
options might be drastically different. This is why we chose to do our National
History Day Project on Henry Ford. He changed the automotive industry forever
and without him we wouldn’t have access to cars like we do today.
Our research was spilt up into four categories, one for each member of our team. We picked what we found most important about this time and event. One person covered the basic history of Henry Ford, one researched the assembly line, one found information about how he had changed rights for workers, and our last team member covered how the Model T became available for lower income families.
We decided that a website would grant us the easiest way to portray information while still coming off in a professional manor. With a website, the user is able to explore and find the information they want without having to read through information they don’t need. By breaking it into parts like we did, we were able to set up pages for each section. The user can find the tap for the specific thing he or she is looking for, thus making the navigation easy but still giving as much information as possible. The production of the actual website consisted of the team getting together and designing the site to make it as helpful as possible. Each section, picture and title was meant to help the user navigate and learn as painlessly as possible.
We believe that Henry Ford matches this theme because he is defiantly a major contributor to the history of the automobile throughout the world, not just in the US. He has left his legacy in the automobile industry. He started the world on a path to new and more advanced ideas, bringing forth a major change in technology in our world today.
